Have read the articles about tagging,checked out the Yarra Plenty Library catalogue by searching a fiction title (very slow response time though) and looked at the SLV Del.icio.us account. Overall the benefit of tagging using "plain language" rather than controlled subject headings allows more access points thereby increasing the probability of finding the information that you want, which has to be good.
